Golf In Italy Tour 2016

Golf In Italy Tour 2016

Sep 16, 2015 Golf Tours by admin

Ever thought about playing golf in Italy?  Shopping, eating, art and history all come together from a tourist’s perspective and now, Tom Linskey of Australian Golf Schools has added an exciting new Italian Golf Tour to the schedule. A 14 day adventure with a difference.

Join us on the 29th May 2016 for this trip of a lifetime, playing 12 rounds of golf on absolutely fantastic golf courses in Italy. Experience golf how it should be played, in a competitive and fun atmosphere, at the most picturesque golf clubs.

THE TRIP

Imagine starting with 5 days near Milan and enjoy a day in Lake Como, one of the most breathtaking locations in Italy, playing golf in the morning, leaving the afternoon and evening free to sample all the best aspects of Italian life.

Courses to be played include the most exclusive clubs in Italy such as Villa D’Este, Castelconturbia and Biella.

Following Lake Como we will go to Castelfalfi for 4 days, staying in the heart of Tuscany in a truly spectacular resort. Castelfalfi is a small, 800 year old Medieval village which has been beautifully restructured making it an enchanting and evocative place offering time to relax, a good cuisine and a prestigious golf course.

The finale is 5 days of golf around another great venue such as Lake Garda, we will be staying in 5 star Palace Hotel Villa Cortine in Sirmione where you can relax and enjoy the privacy of your double occupancy suite, while enjoying historical and romantic places like Verona, Sirmione and Desenzano that offers everything day and night!

THE STORY

Tom was National Coach of Italy many years ago and his contacts in the Italian Golf World are formidable. The current crop of Italian players on the world tour are being coached by Tom’s former pupils and they still ask for advice.

Golf in Italy is normally very exclusive and always first class. There will be matches against the members at some of the golf clubs and an introduction to slices of Italian life not normally seen by the tourist. For golfers or seasoned tourists this sounds like a trip not to be missed. Non golfers are most welcome. From previous experience we have maximized the amount of golf available but it is not compulsory to play every day and there will be obvious opportunities to shop or sightsee as you wish.
